Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a home baker or do you have a physical storefront?

At this time, I am based 100% in my home kitchen!

What health precautions do you take in your kitchen?

The health and safety of my customers is my number one concern! Here are some of the ways I keep my kitchen clean, as well as making sure my food is safe to consume:

1. I am certified in food handling and allergens by an ANSI Accredited Food Handling Service

2. I follow Georgia Cottage Food Labeling Requirements. For more information, please read here! https://agr.georgia.gov/food-labeling-requirements

3. Before and after each baking session, my kitchen is cleaned thoroughly with the appropriate cleaning products.

4. All of my baking equipment (ex. baking sheets, measuring cups, etc.), is separate from my personal cookware.

5. My personal cooking never occurs at the same time as my baking! For example, I would never cook dinner while doing anything related to any baked goods.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Do you use nuts or other common allergens in your kitchen?

Mackie's Bake Shop is NOT an allergen free kitchen! I use products that contain wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, and various types of nuts. Please read the ingredient lists and allergen labels before purchasing or consuming one of my baked goods!

Do you ship your baked goods?

Yes! My cookies, brownies, and blondies are available for nationwide shipping! While these are the only items available for shipping, my local pickup menu and custom order menus are more extensive! If you live in the Metro Atlanta area, check out the "local pickup" and "custom order" tabs!

Do you require a deposit for custom orders?

Yes. I require a 50% down payment for all custom orders before I can confirm your date and/or start making your order. I use a secure and reliable platform to send invoices!

What information do you need from me for a custom order?

1. Your first and last name

2. Your email address

3. The date you wish to book

4. The type of product (ex. cake, cupcakes, breads, etc.) you're looking to book

5. As much detail as you can give me in regards to flavors, colors/theme

What is your cancellation policy?

All custom orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to secure your spot on the calendar. This deposit covers the cost of ingredients, supplies, and the time set aside to prepare your order. The remaining balance is due no later than 48 hours before your event date.

Cancellations made more than 7 days before your event will not be charged beyond the non-refundable deposit.
No refunds will be given for orders canceled less than 48 hours before the event.

How should I store my baked goods?

Cookies and Brownies: store in an airtight container or bag for up to 3 days. Place in freezer for up to 3 months.
